2009 christmas tree: strawberry shortcake

since we name our christmas tree every year, as you will recall (Dr. Fraser Crane, mr. firley, and katreena) we of course had to name this years tree too. so we asked eva what we should name the tree this year. she immediately replied "stawberry shortcake!" and so with that i introduce to you:

and in keeping with tradition, what would strawberry shortcake be without the biggest, most hideous ornament of all, the ss st. mary? again, you can read about her here. (as always this is for you, annie!)


this is my favorite ornament and what i love even more is that my sweet husband placed it at the top of the tree in the most visible spot. makes my heart smile.



and finally, i'm not sure what barbie and strawberry shortcake think of each other but barbie made her way on the tree regardless. i can only guess barbie thinks strawberry shortcake is somewhat frumpy and annoying by the way she wears that ridiculous hat and constantly says everything is so "berry" wonderful. strawberry shortcake probably thinks barbie has seen one too many plastic surgeons (no pun intended) but secretly thinks barbie is berry hot. seriously, check out those legs.
