it felt like it took forever for summer to get here. first of all, eva doesn't get out of school until the middle of june, and then the weather here takes forever to really warm up.
we are entering our third week of summer break and here is what has happened so far (in friendly bullet points for your reading pleasure):
- the first week shaun left for the week for our church's annual general assembly
- nanny came to help out for the week (thankfully!!!)
- claire started the week with a fever
- lily got a fever
- lily got a cough
- claire got a cough
- claire smashes finger in door
- mid-way through the week l-i-c-e was discovered (FREAK OUT!)
- ALL day wednesday was spent dealing with previous bullet point (FREAK OUT SOME MORE.)
- went to the zoo on thursday
- shaun came home friday
- nanny left on saturday (grandmother of the year award goes to nanny!!!!)
- week 2 of summer starts off with swim lessons for the 2 big girls
- eva starts a fever
- eva's fever continues all week
- we have tons of rain and our basement floods
- basement is a disaster and carpet is pulled up and fans are going
- friday we are fever free and head to a water park for a few hours (mass chaos, WAY too many people, but the girls loved it)
- saturday lily has another fever
- now it's sunday and i am missing church again with lily (and claire)
- what will next week hold?
