good times

my mom (a.k.a. mimi) was here last week for a visit to celebrate my birthday and lily's birthday. she flew to minneapolis and i went to pick her up on sunday, by myself. i got to stay in minneapolis with my aunt, uncle, mom, and grandma from sunday afternoon to tuesday evening. notice there were no children's names mentioned in that list? it was glorious. we spent monday at the mall of america and spent the rest of the time eating, because that's what we do.

we also took some pictures. aren't we cute? don't answer that.

and don't worry, uncle stephen is in one of the pictures. two winks and a gun or a fist pump with hand explosion (your choice!) to the first person who can find him in one of the pictures below.

the rest of our week in madison with my mom was spent shopping, going out to eat and...yep, that pretty much sums it up. but that's what we like to do!

my favorite thing that my mom got me was my shark cordless vacuum. it makes me feel so domesticated!

see, pretty much exactly like this picture. only mine is cordless.

and as per our usual tradition when my mom comes, she and eva made a strawberry cake for me and lily. it was delicious!
hopefully my mom will be back soon. although who knows, she might need to work more hours or get another job to come see us again...she spoils us!

At first I thought that was me with that vacuum. I had a wonderful time! But I didn't eat that much!

  3. hey! was that you who reacted in an extremely excited way when you saw my shark vacuum back in the atherton days? I remember showing to someone (I think it was you) and they're (I think your) reaction was one of pure delight and a little bit of jealousy, until they (I think you) realized it wasn't cordless. then my buyers remorse set in.
