visitors = cinnamon rolls (as long as you drive at least 100 miles)
we had a great visit with our friends, the pope family. toby and jennifer live somewhere out in the boonies between gaffney and somewhere else i can't remember, sc. toby is the pastor of a cute (sorry, not a great word to describe a church but it really is cute!) rural church right out in the boonies. so if you're ever out in the boonies somewhere in northern-ish south carolina, go visit their church (it even has a really cool old cemetery). anyway, they came to visit us one last time before we head north to the land flowing with cheese and badgers. we have been friends with the pope family since seminary, back before those four cuties (above) were even thought of. it was so much fun to watch our four kids play together. i also loved having the pope's come because it was a good excuse to make homemade cinnamon rolls, of which i just finished off the last one this morning and am now slightly regretting. but only slightly.
sweet pope family
abigail (love those curly pigtails!)
cowboy daniel (he showed up to our door with cowboy hat, vest, chaps, boots, and wooden rifle)
sweet friends (daniel was kind enough to let eva wear his cowboy attire for one evening too)
(abigail) seriously sweet!
one more cowboy daniel (sure wish he had his whole get-up on in this picture)
