this morning shaun got eva out of bed and brought her in bed with us. she was snuggling with me and i was talking to her. apparently she didn't like my morning breath and said "mommy, that's yucky to my nose!"
that is the first time she has said something when she didn't like the smell. she is entering that stage where embarrassing things are going to start flying out of her mouth in public. for example, while in the target bathroom, when someone is in a stall next to us, eva has to point out various body parts (mine, of course). or ask if i have to go poopie. also, after discussing my belly the other day, she pointed to another girl's belly and said "you have a big belly too!".
i'm sure there will be more to come.
Oh the memories! Like mother, like daughter!

ReplyDeleteAren't the kids just the best thing for your self-confidence!!! My little great-nephew came into the room to wake me up over Christmas and said, "Ooo, Auntie, your mouth tinks." Thanks, Thomas. :)
ReplyDeletethe worst is when they sound like little racists. you get that hot/cold/sweaty/nauseous feeling all at once!
