big girl bed

well, it's official. eva now sleeps in a "big girl bed." we found one for a good deal yesterday and figured we would go ahead and at least set it up in her room with her crib and try to make some kind of transition. we were definitely bracing for the worst. as soon as we set it up in her room she was very excited. she would take my hand and say "come on mommy" and lead me out of the room and as soon as i was right outside of her room she would let go of my hand and push me and shut the door behind me so she could "go to bed." anyway, the first trial run was nap time yesterday and she slept the entire time with no problems, we were shocked. and then once she woke up she stayed in her bed until i came to get her up! bed time was a breeze too. well bed time was good until about midnight when i heard her calling for me. i assumed she was in her bed calling for me until i opened her bedroom door, right in her face. that didn't go over too well. this morning i noticed a nice little bruise in the middle of her forehead, compliments of me! but other than that one little glitch she has done amazingly well. truly an answer to prayer! she still doesn't want any blankets or pillows on her bed, except at nap time today she slept with a blanket which was odd. she is growing up way too fast!!

I can't believe it. Why is she acting so nice when I am gone!

Danielle, brings back lots of memories, she looks just like you at that age.

Course I never hit you in the head.

    love, Mi-Mi
