spring? wherefore art thou?

spring is was here! at leas for one glorious day last week.

we were able to do a little yard work, play outside on a blanket.

and eat some handfuls of mud.

well, that's what claire did.

and now here it is, april 14, and i woke up to a bit of S-N-O-W on the ground. i had to spell it because i don't even want to say it out loud.

absurd.

for pete's sake people!!!! when is it going to get warm already?

i like wisconsin and all but this is getting ridiculous.

to quote my grandma quoting someone else "everyone complains about the weather, but no one does anything about it."

well this girl is going to do something about it! i will just pretend it's warm outside. maybe plant some flowers? how about continue to let lily wear strappy spring dresses to church? send the girls outside in tank tops and shorts? shave my legs? pedicure! i must get a pedicure! hide shaun's hideous worn out sweaters that i have seen him in all winter?
