scenes from the north woods

we just spent a weekend in the north woods. 

it was lovely.

it was beautiful.

we didn't see any bears or moose like i had hoped. but we did see 2 eagles. and shaun allegedly saw a deer tail running off.

the trees smelled so good!

i did find two other wild animals. :)

we played games. office trivia anyone?

we ate tons of not-good-for-you-stuff. this caramel apple with roasted salted pecans was UH-MAZING. holy heavens. it was SO good.

spent some time in this awesome chair crocheting.

it rained most of the time we were there but it was so relaxing. we watched movies, took a walk, ate, played, crocheted. went in to town to eat, etc.

my most favorite part of the weekend was when we arrived after dark, unloaded the van and settled in for the night. then it stormed and rained all night long and the next morning it poured as well. then i looked out the window to see that one of the side van doors was open all night long. fun times. wet seats. still a fantastic weekend.
