Claire has been around for 6 days.
Six, exhausting days.
She tricked us the first night home. We had to wake her up to feed her.
The second night, she made up for the first night and pretty much nursed all night long.
I think things are starting to smooth out. Having a newborn is so hard and tiring and emotional. She is so sweet and beautiful but I'm always happy when things get a bit more predictable.
Shaun's mom left today after being here all week and then my mom arrived on Thursday. They have both been such a big help.
Eva and Lily are doing well with Claire. Eva is always in her face touching her, singing songs to her and saying how cute she is. Lily kisses her on the head and then moves on to something else.
So far Claire likes nursing and dislikes everything else. Although she seems to like daddy, she's sleeping peacefully in his arms right now!

ReplyDeleteHang in there! Take naps during the day. And try to enjoy those moments in the middle of the night. As we both know from the loss of our siblings, life is precious and we are truly blessed to have our babes alive with us, when so many others have lost their sweet, tiny ones here on earth!
