37 weeks and a baby shower!

I am now 37 weeks!

This means I am officially full term.

This means little Claire needs to start packing her bags and get her shoes and coat on because it's about time for her to GET OUT. But if she is anything like her sisters she won't listen, and I will have to tell her like 27 times to get her things together (and not forget her toothbrush ~ don't want to leave that behind!) to come out already.

Hopefully she will come out on her own and not have to be forced out of...ummm... the"door" if you will.

I am actually praying that she will come sooner rather than later.

We'll see what happens.

I did get checked at my 37 week appointment and was a finger tip dilated. If you don't know about "being checked" and "being dilated" and being a "finger tip dilated" then you can google it.

And then you will know that if you didn't already know what that means then you really didn't want to know about it in the first place.

And you are probably wishing you didn't know it about me and that I would just keep it to myself. But heck, since I have already shared plenty about the outward changes of my body it's only fair that we all get to go on an inward share-a-thon. Yay!

Anyway, I am getting off track with my minimally dilated self. Where was I... oh yes! So I'm 37 weeks, ready for baby, still gaining weight like a mad woman, very uncomfortable, get up to pee 9 times a night, etc.

On to the baby shower.

The sweet ladies at our church had a really nice baby shower for me yesterday. It was so much fun and I got so many nice things. I feel so blessed by all of them!

It was also fun because I got to take Eva with me. I have pictures of me when I was 4 years old at a baby shower for my mom when she was pregnant with my sister. So that meant a lot to me to have Eva with me. She was also quite a helper in unwrapping every gift and in record time!

Eva also took these lovely pics of the cake and yummy goodies. Not too shabby! The cake was delicious!

Eva also got a little practice holding baby Ethan who was born in December. She seemed to be pretty comfortable holding him.  I think she will love having Claire around. She really seems to like babies.

All of the lovely women from church. They are all so sweet and wonderful! Love them.

Look at all these wonderful gifts. Claire is one lucky girl!

Now all I am missing is the baby. Get out Claire. NOW.
