Mommy's Helper

Eva is such a big helper these days. She is so observant and smart. Probably because she is six. It is so good to have her around.

For example, she told me this evening just how big my belly is getting and that it looks like I'm fat. I'm so glad she is here to show me these things. I hadn't even noticed my belly was getting big. Now I know!

And last week in the church bathroom I asked her if I looked old and she said "Well, yeah! Like REALLY old!" Where else would I get such loving, compassionate honesty?

But this morning she was the most helpful.

As I was walking past her in my underwear she said "Oh mommy, your bottom is jiggly when you walk!" Thank goodness she was there to point that out! I mean this is clearly an area of my body that I can't see. And quite frankly I make a point to not look at it.

What would I do without her?

It is so good to know that my bottom jiggles! I just had no idea. All this time I thought it was firm and tight.

Oh, was this was more than you wanted to know? Now you know how I feel.

And I agree, it was much more than I wanted to know too.

Who knows what she will discover tomorrow. I can't wait.

***edited to add what Eva discovered this morning: While in the kitchen with me she said "Mommy, your bottom is big."  New discoveries everyday.

Look at this face. Doesn't it just say "Just telling it like it is mom, just telling like it is."
