Christmas Tree 2011: "CHICO!"

This year our tree is named in honor of our neighbor's small-chihuahua-like, rambunctious, and somewhat annoying dog, "CHICO!". Our favorite part about "CHICO!", besides his shrill incessant barking and chasing of cars, is his owner who is constantly yelling his name in an overly loud voice "CHICO! CHICO!!"
Now anytime our girls see a small dog they yell "CHICO!" We love it. And we love to yell "CHICO!" too. You should try it sometime.

It's very therapeutic.

So, back to our tree. It's name is "CHICO!" This way, whenever we walk into the house and see it we can yell "CHICO!"

Wouldn't it be awesome if whenever we walked in and yelled "CHICO!" it's tree lights would light up? I will have to work on that.

~side note for Annie: notice the S.S. St. Mary near the top of the tree? Still have it!~

Here is how "CHICO!" made it into the garage.

A certain someone who was driving the minivan and who shall remain nameless, but may very well be pictured below, forgot about "CHICO!" when we pulled into the garage.

Poor "CHICO!".

Good thing that wasn't one of our children tied to the roof of the van. For several reasons. (It was pretty cold outside.)

Here we are gettin' "CHICO!" all dressed up for the holidays.

Merry Christmas and happy "CHICO!" decorating to you!

  1. I was disappointed at first when I didn't see GIANT MARY in the first picture, but was relieved when you brought it to my attention. By the way, if I were you, I would put it at the bottom of the tree so that the liklihood of it being broken by a small child or cat would go up significantly! :)
