me & bob barker

the other night i had a dream about the price is right and bob barker.

i dreamed that i came upon a price is right game that was being taped outdoors at a football field or somewhere like that. i was so excited to see bob barker in all his white hair, golden skin glory (see exhibit A).

as soon as the price is right was over i ran over to him before any other adoring fans could grab his attention. i walked along with him trying to think of something good to say. so the best thing i could come up with was to tell him that i thought he was really funny in that state farm commercial where a guy is in his front yard and sings the state farm song and bob barker appears and then bob says his famous line "and a new car!".

yeah, i told bob i thought that was so funny. good thing this was just a dream.

anyway, he might have had his arm around me as we were walking, i can't quite remember. as we were walking along i kept wondering if he thought i was totally lame or if i was anywhere near a "barker beauty"status (see exhibit B).

as we parted ways i motioned to him with my camera and a questioning look asking if i could take my picture with him. he smiled and said "no pictures."

the next morning when i woke up and looked in the mirror** (see exhibit C) i realized why he said "no pictures" and i also realized that i probably wasn't quite a "barker beauty." but it sure was nice of bob barker to humor me for a few minutes.

**please note that smoking fake paper cigarettes is very hazardous to your health. especially first thing in the morning. and especially when your hair is very wild and could potentially catch fire because fake rolled up paper cigarettes burn very quickly.
