the apprentices

i am constantly telling eva not to close doors for this very reason:
as soon as shaun left for work i went to put lily down for her morning nap and wouldn't you know it, someone locked the door and closed it. i immediately called shaun hoping to catch him before he got too far down the road and then tried to unlock it myself. that didn't work. shaun had to come home and remove the entire doorknob. this is the second time this has happened. this also happened on eva's bedroom door because someone locked that one too when she was in her room supposedly taking a nap. so now we have two doorknobs that now have the locks on the outside of the door instead of the inside. this works out great until someone locks me in a room by myself. lets hope this doesn't happen. here is someone and lily "helping" daddy get back into the bedroom.

oh just think how boring your life would be if a cute little someone didn't keep it so interesting!

  2. We've had to do the same thing to a few of our doorknobs for the same reason. Although now I'm scared that someone (our someone would be Clip) will lock me alone inside. I think my solution in my head was to keep a screwdriver in each room (up high where someone's can't reach it!) for those emergencies. (because in those rooms, I wouldn't even have a phone to call out of and get help)

I think the REAL solution is for us to install doorknobs that can't lock. But so far we've been too cheap to do that.

ok let's see, there are people in Haiti who would love to even have a house with a lock. If you get after that precious child, her mi-mi will come and look you up!
