heck, we like it here. let's buy a house.

so we close in 2 days, move in the following day, and have guests on sunday for lunch. okay, we won't be having guests for sunday lunch, unless you count my mom who will be here to help us move, but we hope she's buying lunch.

anyway, i'm getting off track. so we are buying a house and are very excited! here are the general details: 3 or 4 bedroom (4th will be the "playroom"), eat-in kitchen, 2 bathroom, living room, 2 car garage, yard, deck, fireplace (in aiken???) and black berry vines! the house has hardwood floors in the kitchen, bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms and carpet in the rest.

and lest i forget, NO STAIRS to climb to my front door with my arms full of groceries slowly following behind a distracted toddler in the pouring rain. of course, i was thinking the other day about how many extra calories i have burned in the last 5 years after living upstairs in st. louis and here in aiken. without the stairs, things will probably get ugly on my "back side" before too long. oh well, it's worth pulling in the garage, i think. i'll get back to you on that one when my behind is twice its current size.

okay, back to the house. it doesn't need much done to it except that we (we as in, shaun's dad and shaun will hold a hammer and measuring tape to look manly, not that he doesn't totally look manly enough on his own!) will be taking down most of a wall to open up the kitchen to the living room. we will also be fencing the yard, the house is on a corner lot. we will also paint and do other things eventually, but these are the 2 main things to be done.
