the obligatory "guests came to visit" blog post

i always feel obligated to blog about special guests coming to visit, especially when i know they read the blog. now i am sure with this blog title aunt ne-ne, uncle stephen and grandma carson are feeling really special! so this is a short summary, with of course organized bullet points, of a wonderful week with our favorite minnesota (and formerly indiana) family members. if you make it past the list, there are a few random pictures at the bottom.
  • edisto beach
  • food, food, and then some more food
  • pizza (at least 3 times) & chips (did i mention food?)
  • sea shells
  • palm trees
  • dolphins (not porpoises, as confirmed by wikipedia)
  • crossword puzzles, trivia, and skip-bo
  • cinnamon rolls (again, food)
  • hopeland gardens
  • downtown aiken
  • the park
  • making grandma carson (nearly 91 years old!) go up and down beach house stairs and apartment stairs several times each day
  • lots of laughing at eva and uncle stephen
  • uncle stephen's new "stare past you look" (when having a conversation with someone, look just to the right or left of their head while agreeing with what is being said, this is quite annoying, unless you are doing the staring, then it is quite funny)
  • we had a great time together and we miss them very much already
  • and stay out!

  1. really? you were just about to do "that"?? hmmmm... very funny nonetheless.

I'm going to try out the staring thing tonight with the youth group kids. I'm sure it will be a hoot!

Oh, and I hope you showed them those famous live trees in Aiken that you posted pictures of a couple months ago.

We had such a good time and miss you all so much! I'm not going to think about how much Eva will change before our next visit!

  3. I was wondering where you were and what you had been up to!
By the way, I still don't understand the sign.
