mr. firley is not to be confused with mr. furley. although i can see how one would easily confuse the two: both are skinny, wiry, and well adorned with a large hideous ornament.

meet mr. firley
so here's this year's tree. he's not too spectacular, i liked "katreena" our tree from last year better. she was more full and smelled better. but mr. firley will get the job done. and by the way, annie, i hope you notice the hideously huge ornament, a.k.a the "ss saint mary" is on the tree again this year (on the right side of the tree about 1/3 of the way down)! for a close up look at this beauty of an ornament click here for the christmas tree post from last year.

So funny! I love the comparison between the firley & furley. What a hoot!
ReplyDeleteI was looking for it as SOON as you posted your tree. I wanted to make sure you hadn't trashed that most precious gift that we gave you last year. I can't even begin to tell you how many months of our savings $$ went into buying that for you! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see it is getting proper recognition AND high placement on the tree! Next year, perhaps, I think it would do well as the topper! :)
p.s. looks like you could use the brick trick as well! :) he's a little on the short side, mr. firley is!
