we had an awesome thanksgiving at edisto beach, sc. if you have never been i insist that you go. what an amazing place!! it is one of the last beaches that hasn't been commercialized. we spent our weekend with mike and julie (our pastor and his wife) and their family. the weather was amazing on thanksgiving day. we ate our meal out on the screened in deck amongst the live oaks and palm trees. the house we stayed in was the best of both worlds: it was a block from the beach and the back of it backed up to this beautiful path through all these amazing old trees. we got to go on bike rides and walks on the beach, it was wonderful. i never thought i would spend thanksgiving at the beach. and it was only 2 1/2 hours from our home! of course, as with all of the spencer getaways since eva was born, there was a catch. eva still has yet to dissapoint in her attempts to sabatoge a good time. this time she wasn't ill, she just thought she should be awake from 3:30 a.m. until 6:15 a.m. in our room. and the next morning she was awake at 4:30 a.m. for good. i was cranky about it to say the least. we couldn't let her cry it out because we would have had everyone in the house awake. next time we are leaving her with someone else!!! any takers? anyway, here are a bunch of pictures in random order.by the way, i want to move here.

Well I expected you to have bags under your eyes with the sleep you all were (or weren't!) getting! But you all look as wonderful as ever! So sorry! Its never good to have your two year old "sleeping" (or not sleeping!) in the same room...at least that has been our experience! :)
