11 months old tomorrow, first sick day today

to quote eva "wow!", one more month and eva will be one! we can't believe it. eva's growth has definitely slowed during the past several months thankfully. (maybe she won't be a giant now!)

we have been very thankful and blessed that eva has been so healthy the last 11 months...until today. eva is teething and has now caught my recent cold. because of the cold she started coughing this morning. while i was in another room, eva was playing in the living room on the wood floor and i heard her cough and then i heard lots of splattering on the floor. she barfed. and then she barfed some more, on the floor and me. i changed my shirt. i changed her clothes, gave her a bath and a bottle. i rocked her and then she barfed again, all over my shirt, pants, and chair. and her clean pj's. i changed my shirt and her pj's. i started rocking her in the chair again. she barfed all over me, again. i changed my shirt and her pj's, again. so what is the score now? eva 5 clothing changes, me 3. she wins? no, i say we both lose. shaun came home and she never barfed on him. hmmmm. shaun wins.

we took her to the doctor and she just has a cold and maybe a stomach thing or it could be from the cold. she seems to be doing much better tonight. now she is sleeping and as you might guess, i'm doing a lot of laundry.

we have survived our first sick day.
