First Father's Day Tradition

aren't they cute! i have decided to start a father's day tradition with eva and shaun. each year eva and i will pick out the most hideous thrift-store tie we can find and give it to shaun for father's day. this year we went with the super-wide retro tie. the sad thing is when shaun opened the gift bag he thought it was a tie that i had actually bought for him to wear. we clearly have some fashion issues in our house. well, shaun has decided that since we now have the ugly thrift-store tie tradition, he will have the tradition of wearing that ugly tie to church each father's day. so last night shaun preached at church and wore this lovely tie. everyone enjoyed getting a good look at it after the service. maybe next year we will strike it lucky and find the super skinny piano key tie from the '80's but we'll see.
